A light display backdrop for a singer’s concert performance.
For her hometown concert, we wanted to surprise Canadian singer-songwriter Jamie Fine with a cost-effective light sign as a backdrop for her hometown performance.

The design of different boards was guided based on a more legible tracing with lightbulbs, the spacing of the lightbulbs which string in 4s, as well as the rigging of the board onto a stable structure.
RIGGING
The rigging visual render aided our understanding of the stability and scale of the structure. Without the LED lightbulbs, our initial rigging used a truss with pipes attached through double cheese-boroughs. After testing, we ended up using a much larger light fixture rig with a heavy baseplate due to the added weight of the lightbulbs.
